INTRODUCTION

Public engagement is critical to the success of the Anderson County LUDO project.

County staff and the consulting team are devoted to making sure that anyone who wishes to be involved and share input or feedback on the project may do so at numerous points throughout the process.

The public engagement strategy for the LUDO project includes five main parts:

1. This webpage and details about the project (see work products here)

2. Regular meetings with a project Steering Committee

3. Public forums and open houses at key milestones in the project

4. Regular opportunities for Office Hours appointments with the consulting team open to anyone scheduling a meeting (call (864) 260-4720 to schedule an office hours visit)

5. Conduct of several public hearings as part of the adoption process

OFFICE HOURS

Office hours are an opportunity to have a one-on-one meeting with members of the consulting team, or a brief presentation to a County or interest group. Office hours are conducted during scheduled consulting team visits to Anderson County, and are 30-minute meetings held at the County office complex at 1428 Pearman Dairy Road.

Office hours must be scheduled in advance by contacting the Town at (864) 260-4720.

Presentations to County groups may also be scheduled in advance, and may be virtual, depending upon timing.

The purpose for Office Hours is to allow County residents, landowners, and business owners to ask questions and learn more about the Anderson County LUDO project.  This is not an opportunity to ask about a pending application, pending zoning violation, or a development proposal (these kinds of questions should instead be directed to County planning staff).

There is also an opportunity to ask a question directly to County staff and the consulting team without scheduling an office hours visit by posting it in the field at the bottom of this page (be sure to include your email address if you would like a response).

If you have questions or would like to get more information on how to participate, please provide your question and email in the space below and a member of County staff will get back to you with more details.
